Appliance Repair in Denver

Independent repair for every appliance in the kitchen. We are high-end specialists first — Sub‑Zero, Wolf, Viking and Thermador — and we service every other major brand alongside them, with sealed-system and gas work corrected for Front Range altitude rather than done to sea-level numbers.

What we specialise in

Built-In and High-End Appliances First

These four are where generalist appliance training runs out. Dual-compressor sealed systems, dual-fuel ranges, commercial-derived burners and panel-ready door hardware all behave differently from mass-market equivalents, and they are what our technicians work on every day.

Refrigeration-only specialist
Sub-Zero Repair
Sealed refrigeration systems. Often dual-compressor, designed to run continuously rather than cycling on and off like a standard fridge.
Professional-grade cooking specialist
Wolf Repair
High-BTU sealed burners. Wolf's dual-stacked burners run significantly hotter than a standard range, using different igniter and valve assemblies.
Full-line professional kitchen brand
Viking Repair
Sealed refrigeration systems. Viking's refrigerator and freezer columns use dual-compressor designs similar in complexity to other premium refrigeration brands.
Full-line professional kitchen brand
Thermador Repair
Star® burner technology. Thermador's signature burner design distributes heat differently than a standard burner and needs matching diagnostic knowledge.
And everything else in the kitchen

Specialising in the high end does not mean refusing the rest. Most kitchens hold three or four different badges, and one visit should cover all of them rather than three.

Repairs Corrected for Denver Altitude

Most appliance training assumes sea level. The Front Range does not sit anywhere near it, and two things change as a result.

Sealed systems read differently. Charging a refrigeration system by the pressures printed on the tag, without correcting for elevation, leaves the unit under- or over-charged. It is one of the most common reasons a repair has to be done twice.

Gas burners need high-altitude orifices. A range jetted for sea level runs rich here — yellow-tipping flames, soot on burner caps and pan bottoms, and a cooktop that never quite boils as fast as it should. Appliances that moved in from out of state frequently were never converted.

Denver Neighborhoods We Work In

Brick bungalows, Denver Squares and Tudors from the 1900s-1930s through the central neighborhoods, with heavy scrape-and-rebuild and gut-remodel activity in Cherry Creek, Hilltop and Crestmoor. Older stock means older appliances, and a fifteen-year-old sealed system fails differently from one still under warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

What appliance brands do you repair?
Every major make. We specialise in the high-end and built-in end of the market — Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking and Thermador above all — and also repair KitchenAid, GE Monogram, Miele, Gaggenau, Dacor, Bosch, JennAir, LG, Samsung, DCS, U-Line, Liebherr, Whirlpool, GE, Maytag, Frigidaire, Electrolux, Kenmore, Amana and Speed Queen. Our brands page has the full list.
Do you only work on luxury appliances?
No. The specialist training is what sets us apart, but a kitchen rarely holds one badge, and turning down the mass-market unit next to the built-in would just mean two service calls instead of one. If it is a major kitchen appliance, we will look at it.
Do you charge for a diagnostic visit?
Yes, a flat diagnostic fee, and we tell you what it is before we come out. It covers the visit and a full diagnosis, and you get a firm written quote before any repair work begins.
Are you affiliated with Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking or any other manufacturer?
No. Elite Appliance Repair Denver is an independent repair company, not a factory service provider, and we are not affiliated with, authorized by or endorsed by Sub-Zero, Inc., Wolf Appliance, Inc., Viking Range, LLC or any other manufacturer named on this site. We specialise in out-of-warranty repair.
How quickly can you get here?
Most calls across Denver get a same-day or next-day appointment with a specific arrival window rather than an all-day wait. Mountain addresses sometimes need an extra day, particularly in winter.
My garage refrigerator quits every winter. Is it broken?
Usually not. A refrigerator reads the air around it, not the food inside, so once an unheated garage drops below roughly 38°F the thermostat decides the box is cold enough and stops cooling — which lets the freezer thaw. Some units have a garage kit or low-ambient setting; on others the location is the problem, and we will say so rather than sell you a repair.
Does altitude really change an appliance repair?
It changes the diagnosis. Sealed-system pressures read differently at Front Range elevation, and gas burners jetted for sea level run rich here and need high-altitude orifices. Both are routine for us and both are common reasons a repair done elsewhere did not hold.
Do you work on appliances you did not install?
Almost always — most of what we see was installed by someone else, often years ago. What matters is the model and the fault, not who put it in.
